I've had WP installed on my server for over three-weeks. Everything was working fine. I decided to install/add a Forum on the same server i'm running WordPress. I'm relativity new to MySQL, and phpBB forum, but I gave it a try. I first installed MySQL 4.1 and on my server (funpic) was already activated for MySQL PHP forums.

Once I installed phpBB on my server, on a seperate directory (folder) entitled, /forum/, it was fine. When I went to configure phpBB, I decided to remove everything.

So, first I uninstalled MySQL 4.1 from my computer. Second, I deleted the folder /forum/ from my server (funpic). When I went back to view my WP blog, It gave me an error. "something like; cannot establish a connection with host". I asked my friend what to do, he said to change your SQL password back to it's original when you first installed WP. So I did.

When I returned to my WP blog, everything was new. all my entries were not there, but my themes were saved. I then checked my /cashe/ folder (from WP) in my server, and seen all the entry images I once had one located. I made a backup (by selecting everything and 'cut & paste' in my server and just made a folder entitled 'backup' on my hard drive) folder on my computer (off my server).

How can I get back all my old entries, and pages? And return everything to how it was before I installed phpBB?

You already has MySQL running because WordPress uses MySQL!

Hopefully you did a backup of your WordPress Database so you could restore that backup into your new database.

Okay. I've finished backing up my WordPress Database. When I went to restore the backup, this came up.

There is a chance that you may have found a bug in the SQL parser. Please examine your query closely, and check that the quotes are correct and not mis-matched. Other possible failure causes may be that you are uploading a file with binary outside of a quoted text area. You can also try your query on the MySQL command line interface. The MySQL server error output below, if there is any, may also help you in diagnosing the problem. If you still have problems or if the parser fails where the command line interface succeeds, please reduce your SQL query input to the single query that causes problems, and submit a bug report with the data chunk in the CUT section below.

    Now I followed: (http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/restore/#one)
and 'dropped' mySQL files. When I tried uploading the backup, an error. So, now i'm left with all my old files on my server, but on phpmyadmin, no tables. Am I making it worse?

I unzipped the file, (sql) and uploaded it. Still the same. Nothing Changed.

I find this baffling, because all my files are still on the server (FTP) but whenever I view my blog, it wants to re-install a new blog with 0 entries. I've been trying to fix it for 2+ days now.

My old theme's show up, and in my /cashe/ folder (in server) shows all my images on my previous posts. Everything was untouched when I removed /forum/. Why did it mess up my blog? It seems impossiable to fix, I tried the methods above.
