My comments were working with I created the program about two months ago.

I added CommentsLUV and SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam along with other plug ins, and the comments no longer work. I have disengaged both comment program and Akiment, so now I have no anti-spam programs running.

I thought that might help things work.

    here is what happens...

    1. You go to http://www.MarketingWithIntegrity.com and try to comment.
    2. It says to log on.
    3. You're taken to http://marketingwithintegrity.com/stauffer/http://marketingwithintegrity.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http://marketingwithintegrity.com/?p=496
    4. Which takes you to an error page.

Can you help me get my comments working? I would love for the box to automatically be opened so folks can comment without going to the top of the post, clicking on comments, then going to the bottom and posting their comment.

OF course... even with a ban program, some jerks keeps spamming me...they are the ONLY one getting through.

    Appreciate the help

    Thank you.

Can someone help me now that I know "where" the problem is?

My hosting company gave me a clue... but I don't know how to fix it... hope you do!

This appears to be an issue with your elements-of-seo theme. In wp-content/themes/elements-of-seo/comments.php, on line 73, there is the following line:
    wp-content/themes/elements-of-seo/comments.php:73:<p>You must be /wp-login.php?redirect_to=<?php the_permalink(); ?>">logged in to post a comment.</p>

In particular, the first part, '../stauffer/' is what is causing this issue. It is attempting to set up a link for <yoursite>/stauffer/<your site url>/wp-login.php?etc, which is, of course, failing. You will either need to edit this file, speak with the developer of the theme, or find someone who is able to assist with this coding matter. Unfortunately, while I was able to find it, I am not authorized to actually make changes to site code. Please let us know, however, if you have any further issues that we can assist with, and I hope that this will let you find a good starting point to fix the problem.

I want to close this and let others know what I did.

I downloaded the elements of sytle again to my computer (to get a clean copy). Then I went to the comments.php file for the download and copied it to the one in my wordpress blog.

    Fixed the problem.

I have had the same problem and tracked it down to a line in the comments.php of the version of elements of seo I was using, which was version 1.2

I looked thro stauffer's sites and found a reference to elements of seo v1.4. I downloaded this and it appears not to have teh same code in teh comments.php site.

    Here is the version http://www.alibiproductions.com/articles/elements-of-seo/

I hope this fixes the problem. (Even though it was 8 months ago)
