dear frnds am using a site zotimes.net
but when i tries to upgrade it to wordpress 2.9.2 it require connection info and username and password
i tries many time by entering username and password but it shows error and check settings
which wordpress version and themes is best of all
help me

connection info user name and password it is looking for is your ftp info
WP 2.9.2 is the newest version, so best and most stable and secure
many themes could be the best. depends on what you want your site to look and function like
The auto-upgrade can sometimes ask for ftp connection info if your web server permissions do not allow the pages to be overwritten by the user that the web server runs as.

You have to. Call your hosting company
No, what I mean is that the auto-upgrade can sometimes ask for ftp connection, but that is not the actual problem. It won't matter what you put in the user and password boxes.
Instead, you need to make sure that your WordPress files are writeable by the user that runs apache on your web host.
