• I am looking for some help with my WordPress blog.

Nothing major, I have a design I like but I need some help changing a few things.

On the FrontPage I have static page page. On that page I been adding a preview of my lastest blog. My question is is there a way I can add something to make it always pull the lastest blog so I do have to edit the file all the time?

If someone could help me that would be great!

    Thanks,
    Matt

  • Don’t quote me, as I’m new to this end of things, but I wonder if using the export option under the manage tab in the admin, might be what you’re lookng for? I know it allows you to dload an xml file of the rss from your blog. I wonder if this is (or a portion of it) could be pasted into an html doc on your main page to import into it, your most recent WP blog post? Just replying because it made me curious.. hoping that someone will confirm whether this is a possibility or not. Please don’t try it until you’re sure this won’t cause a problem.

No I don’t think that would work!

Definitely not the “import” feature: that’s for… err, importing posts from another blog.

However, there are quite a number of solutions:
    RSS feeds
    recent posts plugin(s)
    customized Loop
