   Hi,

   I'm locked out of WP admin after adding simple password protected page using the standard feature "Password protect page".

   Now when I try to open my url http://www.mysite.com/wp-admin

   I get instantly redirected to my passwordprotected page, and although I can log in to that page, I'm locked out of admin!

   I hae cleared all cache's in my browser. Tried from a different computer. But no! I'm locked out :(

   Please help, panic is creeping in...

   Could try using phpMyAdmin to blank out the post_password field in the wp_posts table for that particular post/page.

   Always good to have a backup of your database before messing with it.

   Hi Michael, thanks for the advice. I do have backups, but make them to infrequently... :(

   I believe the problem was a plugin (bbPress or theme my login).
