should be able to just add it to the links section of your sidebar / blog roll etc - might want to rename the links title

A link to your site also helps people to help you.

That is your view. The blog address is going to be your site address plus whatever the name of the folder where you put your blog is.

ie - site address is "www.mysite.com"
and the folder name is "wordpress"
then your blog is at "www.mysite.com/wordpress"

When you are at your admin page, click on "Visit Site" and it will take you to the blog and you can also get the address there.

ahh that made it worse , so I have moved everything back , please help

  11. Here's your problem. You have:

    Your main site: http://www.helenmortonphotography.co.uk/index.htm

    Your blog: http://www.helenmortonphotography.co.uk/index.php

Since WordPress is designed to strip the "index.php" from the URL, as it should, all requests to the blog will wind up going to your main site, as it is the first index found alphabetically.

If you want your WordPress blog to replace your main site, just delete the index.htm file.

If you want to keep your main site, you'll have to move your WordPress blog to another directory, like /blog/ . You can do this one of two ways:

    1. Delete the WordPress files and database and re-install everything in a new directory. You will lose all of your blog content.

    2. Move the WordPress files to a new directory. Follow this guide:

tired number2 and got a blank page ahhhhhhh.
I had put files in a folder called blog but when I went to that directory got a empty page

  13. Did you change the URLs in Settings/General before moving? Did you reset your permalinks in Settings/Permalinks after moving?

    http://www.helenmortonphotography.co.uk/blog/

Looked like a regular WordPress page to me. Firefox 3.6.2. Sometimes a browser cache can mess up testing by giving you the old before the change page -
