   I'd like to transfer my blogger blog to wordpress, but need to install wordpress first and get the template design and layout all sorted out first.

   I have a hosting account with hostgator, but my current blog (hosted with blogger, but the domain name/url is hosted with go daddy) is not linked to my host gator account. Can someone tell me how to go about installing wordpress so I can work on my new design template and layout without having to switch it over my blog until I'm ready?

   in hostgator you can use a temp url like http://your ipaddress/~usename to set up your wordpress once you have all set up then you can change the urls to your domain name in Settings>>>>General and I think you can use tools to import your blogger content.
