    Hi and good evening! I could really use some direction here... I appreciate your help. :)

    So, to install a theme I just purchased, I went to my wordpress admin page and uploaded the zip for the new theme. This is what it reported:

    Theme Installed successfully.

    Warning: fopen(/home/tarynp/public_html/wp-content/themes/themeforest_blueglow-worpress-theme_53564/style.css)
    [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in
    /home/tarynp/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3697

    Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in
    /home/tarynp/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3700

    Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in
    /home/tarynp/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3703

    Can anyone give me some directive as to how to get this to work?

    Thanks a million...

    If you have access to your php.ini file, try enabling Fopen. Find the respective line and set it to be "on":

    allow_url_fopen = On

    And add this line below it:

    allow_url_include = 1

    -------------

    If you don't have access to that file, try inserting this onto the .htaccess file on your website root:

    php_value allow_url_fopen on
    php_value allow_url_include 1

    if it doesnt work, probably your host does not allow u to set this parameters through htaccess

    -------------

    Anyways, I wonder why a theme whould require Fopen to be enabled. You should try to get some help from the developer, probly he/she is the best one to guide you here.

    Cheers

    Well, I'd say: contact the theme developer. Or try another theme. It still sounds strange to me a theme trying to stream data through fopen(). I wonder what it's trying to stream... It can be a breach in security.

    Cheers

    I was having the exact same problem when I tried to upload a custom theme that I had just purchased from a website. The cause of the error was because I was trying to upload a .zip file that also contained other support files and folders (such as photoshop files) instead of just the actual theme folder.

    The theme that I was trying to upload was actually buried two folders deep in the zip file. To resolve the problem I simply unzipped the folder, located the actual theme folder in one of the subfolders. I zipped it and uploaded it to the server.

    If you are not sure which is the correct folder, look for the folder containing files like these: index.php, header.php, footer.php

    Great solution pezomatic. I've now unzipped what I thought were 'problem' themes and they now work fine. They were just buried too deep.
