hello everyone, this is my first post in this forum :)
i want to create a wordpress site which is mainly for hosting the database of my college students. every registered user can search for student details on the basis of student name, year of passout, Major subject, section, roll number etc. bt only the mods and the admins can edit that database. anyone pls help me by showing the way to do it. Thank u :)

i know the basics, all i'm asking is if there's any plugin that helps in making a form and directory(i have checked gravity form plugin, bt thats not free :( )

In that case I would create my own application in stead of using WordPress. I don't know if you know PHP / MySQL? It's not that difficult to create. Or you could integrate it with your WordPress site. Just my first thoughts...
