I desperately need help. I've been using Blogger for years and it was so easy. I'm having a really hard time with WP.
I downloaded a template called Atahualpa. I went under add new themes to upload the file. Now everything is all garbled and all of the lines say failed opening. I can't get to the theme page to delete this program. In the meantime, I see that there is a newer version that I have just downloaded.
I'm no computer genius. Could someone tell me how to get this off my blog to try with the new download and if this is the best way to do it. I'm determined to have it looking like something before I go to bed tonight! Thanks!
FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) and delete the atahualpa folder in wp-content/themes. This will automatically activate the default theme and allow you to access your Admin pages again.

Done. But it didn't do anything. This is an example of what it says:

It comes up when I try to log out, refresh the page, click on themes or add news themes. Any other ideas?

To make it worse...for some reason...when I deleted that file, I also lost all of the categories and posts that I did today.
If the theme has been correctly deleted, it cannot generate errors.

I must have really screwed something up. It's no longer on my FTP. I can't even pull my WP page up any longer.

I think the downloaded zip file may be not a sole one that probably include something else.So you put the zip file at themes and then everything get screwed up.
