   I'm just installed wordpress for the the first time

   http://www.sicka.miccas.net/

   I've also installed some cool plug-in's but they don't dont up on the front page , do I have to change around stuff in the template ? cause I'd like to make my own links on the sidebar. Any help to tutorials to get me get started would be great as I love WordPress!

   some plugin requires that you change the template code and some dont ..

   you just need to read the plugin information to see how to make it work ..

   You could just add alink to your blogroll.
