• Okay, so first, I have a Mac (OS 10.6.8). I downloaded WP and it unzips automatically, so in my downloads folder I have wordpress.zip as well as a folder titled wordpress that is full of what are mostly .php files and a couple folders here and there. I don’t know what it means when the instructions say to unzip the file in a certain place.
So it’s on my computer and now I have NO idea what to do with it. I have no idea how to get access to my web server or how to use an FTP. I have no idea how to use a shell. All I know is that I have a domain name that I’ve purchased and now I would like to use comicpress with it and that I can’t use comicpress until I have wordpress. I don’t know how to make all of these .php documents magically become a website.

Is there someone who can actually walk me through what to do? Because, for me, the instructions are not actually very clear at all. It might be great if we all had universal computers and spoke computer-language ,but we don’t. I would love it if the website (or anyone) could actually walk me through the process slowly. I want very much to learn what to do, but nothing I’m finding on the web is helping very much.
