Forgot to mention, ususally when using the code necessary for contact forms to work, say the Dagon Design Secure Form Mailer, you’ll want to turn off the Visual Editor via Administration > Profile > Your Profile then when you create your Page for the contact form you just put
<!-- ddfm1 -->
in the Page Content.
huh??? sorry what is <!– ddfm1 –> in the Page Content. and i did turn that off, please help, why wont this work!??
So which plugin are you using. Please provide a link to that plugin.
Also what text are you putting in the Page Content?
Thanks! you are the first one to help me, all these other ass-holes here tell me to read more, and dont paste this or that, i just need help, so thank you!!!
ok, the deal is, i have a blog web site, all i want to do is put a simple html code it it, this is a contact code so people can reach me without getting my personal email, keep in mind i have tried many, and for some reason wordpress which i am useing for my blog site keeps changing it, this is the code;
[moderated code pasted at http://wordpress.pastebin.ca/574067 ]
* so what do i do? Rina π
But you don’t need to struggle with that form – there are several WP contact plugins that work great with WP.
Why don’t you use one of those?
MichaelH linked to several of them – did you try any?
I’d would also recommend this (linked to by MichaelH, too)
http://www.dagondesign.com/articles/secure-form-mailer-plugin-for-wordpress/
well why is it changing the code, just tell me that, and yes im a noobie i dont understand, please just tell me how to keep the code from changing!please!!!
Probably because you are copy/pasting the code into the wysiwyg (visual) editor. Don’t!
Just forget that code of yours, go and download the plugin I linked to, read the very simple instructions and use it.
And don’t be surprized if nobody wants to help you if you behave like this.
i dont even know what a plugin is??? or how to do that, i just learned how to paste and copy!
Then learn. We all did. You can, too.
Or if you can’t – hire a pro.
ok but im going to have to still paste the code into my site powered my wordpress and it’s going to change it!!!!!!
yes or no?
and i turned the visual) editor off i tried everything from my site, nothing works!! this should be easy and it’s not! π
The easy way is to use a contact form plugin. You were given that advice with links 2 [two] days ago. That’s all we can do: provide the links to the requested resources.
Now grow up and learn how to listen to the advice you receive.
grow up im 71 years old! can you just tell me, all those links tell me is more blah blah, i dont understand it!
my god, can anyone help me here!!! geeeezzzzzzz
I didn’t talk about your age – but your behaviour. It’s childish…
You already got all the help. Use it and stop posting!
