When you edit Page, there is Page Attribute metabox on the right. There you can choose Page Template.

Thank you, I see those are listed as you say. However, I’m not clear how you would use them.
For example, I created an “Authors” page with the Author template. I listed three authors in the text area. The page as displayed doesn’t look any different from a page done with the Default template. Am I doing something wrong… or missing the whole point?

The effect of this is very obvious… and very nice. I see that multiple sticky posts produce a series for the slider.
I think I figured out that it’s the “featured image” that shows up in the picture space of the slider. Where are the dimensions of the image set? A quick measurement was something like 613×278, but I would like to be able to tweak that.
Where is the time delay set for switching the slider?

Slider image size is prefer to be 660px x 300px.
As you might have noticed I “make decisions, not options” in my themes. That’s way there is no option to set delay time in the slider. Of course it can be changed if necessary.
What it comes to Page templates, they work out of the box.
