I just signed up for an account with playlist site MixTape.me. I am trying to embed the playlist I created in a post on my self-hosted WordPress blog. However, when I copy the embed code from MixTape.me, and paste it into the body of my post, no playlist shows up -- just the code.
I have read that WordPress no longer works with MixPod, which was once my first choice (and am not sure if this is WP dropping support for MixPod or vice versa). Does WordPress not work with Mixtape.me either?
Here is the code for the playlist that I'm trying to embed:
<object width="440" height="345"><param name="movie" value="http://mixtape.me/embed.swf?playlist=26573"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://mixtape.me/embed.swf?playlist=26573" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" width="440" height="345"></embed></object>
That code, verbatim, is what appears in the body of my post. I pasted it on its own line, in Visual mode. Should I put it in HTML mode instead? I have the Flash plugin (which Mixtape.me uses for its playlists) installed and up-to-date. But is there a WordPress plugin that I need to install to have the playlist show up?
I am running version 3.4.1 with these plugins installed:
- Better WordPress Security
- JetPack by WordPress.com
- Shortcodes Ultimate
- Ultimate TinyMCE
- WordPress SuperCache
Running Firefox x64 (Waterfox) v13.0 on Windows 7 x64 Professional SP1.
