    Can anyone tell me what to change/edit to get the corrections states below?

    + Title and Date closer together, with a space between the date and entry.
    + 'by Josh | Comments | posted in Category' line closer to divider
    + Links on both bars to the right closer to the left edge.

    1. get firefox

    2. get the web developer extension for firefox @ https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?application=firefox&id=60

    3. edit CSS from within FF

    4. Read : http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=css+beginners&btnG=Google+Search

    I personally resist the temptation to tell people how to do something that they can prolly figure out on their own given some patience.

    PS: I have absolutely got to say that while you are tweaking the above, you REALLLY need to work on the contrast between your text content color and that background -- your posts are nearly completely unreadable.

    I've been editing the CSS with FTP, I just cannot find the codes that change these specific things.

    the "codes" are right there when you view source.

    for instance:

    <h1><a href="http://joshaube.chapterfain.com/wordpress/?p=35" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to The AMANDA Story">The AMANDA Story</a></h1><font size="1"><h1 class="date">Saturday, January 7, 2006 JST </h1>

    a good deal of that is controlled in your CSS via this:

    #main .entry h1, #main #comments h1, #main #commentform h1 {
    font-weight: bold;
    font-size: 250%;
    background: none;
    padding: 0px;
    color: #990000;
    }
    `

    again, get firefox, get THAT extension, and you will be able to edit CSS on the fly, and PREVIEW your results, before you change files that muck up other things.

    Its worth noting that the CSS i pasted above affects more than your post titles. Thats a drag, and a poor implementation (imo), as like I said your potential to screw something up that you might already like is quite high.

    I have spent well over 5 hours trying to figure this out, and no, that is not exxageration. I was up until 5AM and just wasted my afternoon trying to do this. I am frustrated to the point I want to hack at my screen with a plastic knife. Can anyone PLEASE help me, tell me what I have to edit, just POINT ME IN THE DIRECTION. I'm not asking you to do it all, I want to do it, but I SIMPLY HAVE NO IDEA HOW. I've gotten the sidebar.

    What pisses me off is that title. I have found the CSS code used for it, and am able to change the font size but not the space between. The padding is already 0, see for yourself:

    #main .entry h1, #main #comments h1, #main #commentform h1 {
    font-weight: bold;
    font-size: 150%;
    background: none;
    padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
    color: #990000;
    }

    #main .entry, #main #comments, #main #commentform {
    padding: 0px 10px 30px 10px;
    margin: 0px;
    }

    #main .entrycontent {
    padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
    margin: 0px;
    border-bottom: 1px solid #444;
    font-size: 85%;
