    Hello,

Im making this serious project for a company using this theme: http://yoshz.com/theme/

And dont want to brake any rules, so i want to keep the copyright footer, but i think that the creator of the theme should have a footer without commercial if they want users to keep them.

    it looks like this now
“Copyright © 2011 Yoshz Themes. All rights reserved.
Design by: Charlotte Dating with Florida Landscaping Jobs | Telemarketing Jobs | Atlanta Dating”

So i want to keep the first sentence, but remove the silly links below them. But when i try to do that, the page collapses.

Has anybody experince about this theme? or somebody who knows how to make it, im really not good at advanced programming, know just the basics. It would be helpful if someone could explain it in a “easy” way.

    Thank you in advance.

sure it is? u can clearly se this text in the footer:

“Design by: Charlotte Dating with Florida Landscaping Jobs | Telemarketing Jobs | Atlanta Dating”

And thats what i wanna remove, maybe i was not so clear before =)
But that is what i was talking about. Do you have any soloution ?

No links seen here either using Firefox 4 and IE9.

This is really strange, here i upload a picture how the footer looks in my computer:

    footer screen

Please, navigate to the “demo” of the theme when u are in the site. U can see clearly in my picture that i have clicked on “telemarketing jobs”.

Maybe u are not on the theme demo page?

    someone please help.

Maybe u are not on the theme demo page?

Did you provide a link to that page?

Did you provide a link to that page?

Dude please, why do you make it so difficult, if you go to http://yoshz.com and click the demo button for the theme “whitegreen”, you find the page. And i know u found it, why do you write something like that instead of helping?

I just clicked on all the theme demos and they all have the adress: http://yoshz.com/theme/ i quess that was the problem, but i think that ppl can find the page anyway, cause u can see that i mentioned in the topic the name of the theme!!! So i dont get this kind of answers! If you found the page, please help if you have a soloution instead of asking me if i gave the right link when it was obvious that i made wrong. or was it to hard to remove “/theme” from the adress and solve the problem?

So please, someone who can help? please!

The link you provided sends you to another theme, where there are no links. Esmi is trying to help you, you’re the one making it difficult.
I was going to help but doesn’t seem you’re a people person.
Or is it too hard to be nice to those trying to provide you with aid?

    (@silentwaves)

It was really not my intention to be rude, its just that me and Esmi both understood the problem, its the same link to all themes, and i made a mistake there! But i dont think that its so hard to navigate to the right theme, since i mentioned it here, im a right?

So im thankful that he made me understand the problem with the the link, but in the same time im sure that he found the theme, so why couldnt he help me with the problem too?

If i had the knowledge, i would just write something like “dude ur link is going elswhere, but i found the page and here is my suggestion… ”

i dont agree with you really that i made it difficult, since its easy to find the theme anyway because of i mentioned it in the topic and first post.

And i accept that u dont wanna help, i cant really do anything for that, but i think its pitty that u mention it also!

I still hope that someone else out there can help me then, i really would be thankful.

We do really need to see the theme on your site – not a demo site.

Please if its possible, can u explain the soloution in a easy way =)

    any1 please? =(

Okay, let’s start over, from the top. You’re using the WhiteGreen Theme, available here.

According to the linked page, this is the license information:

WhiteGreen is a free theme under license GPL but please not to remove any copyright link at the footer.

Interpret that as you will; the developer is claiming that the Theme is licensed under GPL, but then attempts to place extra-GPL restrictions. Personally, I wouldn’t even touch such a Theme, as a matter of principle.

That said, the footer links in question are hard-coded into footer.php. Simply remove them, if you want to do so.

The reason that the “page collapses” when you do so has to do with the base64-encoded code in the file /functions/theme-setting.php. (Another reason that I wouldn’t touch this Theme with a ten-foot pole.)

Delete both of the eval(base64_decode()) functions, and the Theme will work just fine.

Then, your next step: find a Theme from a reputable Theme developer.

    Hey Chip,

I understand the way you think, and i agree, i would really change the theme if it wouldnt be so good for the project. The problem is that im not so good at coding, otherwise i would create my own theme. And i have not found other one.

Much respect to you for answering, thank you very much.

    my regards
