Help changing colors in Devenir en Gris theme

I am using the devenir en gris wordpress template at my site at http://www.yesrecipes.com; however, no matter what I do in the style.css code, I have not been able to change the grey colors in the left and right hand menus to an alternate color. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
