Help! I've lost my whole website.

Working on-line through the Hostmonster access, I spent many hours building a small company website. I did so under the temporary URL http://66.147.240.157/~sailstar/starlight/.

After transferring my permanent url: http://www.sailstarlight.com to Hostmonster, I mistakenly changed my temporary url to my standard URL (obviously not the way to move your site to your Hostmonster URL.

Can someone please tell me how to regain access to my site and fix this??

    Thanks

See Changing_The_Site_URL for details of how to do this correctly.

The problem is I can no longer access the control panel or anything. It just bring me to http://www.sailstarlight.com

Try reading the page at the link I posted above. None of the methods require you to login to your WordPress dashboard.

Since you installed the WordPress at http://66.147.240.157/~sailstar/starlight that means your permanent URL is going to be http://www.sailstarlight.com/starlight instead of just http://www.sailstarlight.com

Use the steps from esmi to change the URL to http://www.sailstarlight.com/starlight to get access to the Dashboard again. Or use these instructions from Hostmonster:
    https://my.hostmonster.com/cgi/help/wordpressurl

You will have to move the files out of the folder called starlight to get it to work at http://www.sailstarlight.com
