   I have created a new blog and thought everything was looking cool and working properly. However, I have been using Firefox browser.

   I tried to log in over the holidays on a friends computer using explorer and I couldn't log in; my right sidebar was completely missing and there appear to be code errors on the page.

   Can anybody help me understand what the problem may be? I'm a complete beginnger with wordpress so unsure where to start resolving the problem.

   I am far below average when it comes to WP solutions but....

   I see what you mean

   Did you copy and paste from a Microsoft app. I see a whole bunch of <p class="MsoNormal" all up & down your site, I don't know if this hurts your's but it has thrown my web sites off before.

   Also did you change any css code, leave an unneeded bracket or slash in the code.

   I also see a stat counter so I know you've been creeping, did you leave something out or put something in the .php file that changes the file presentation.

   I didn't look at your css but the reason I say you may have left something out is because your column didn't float down, it just disappeared which makes me think something was left in or out of the code.
