Help Adding Rule To Htaccess File (3 posts)

I continue to get a 404 error when accessing /journal, yet when i go to /journal/index.php it displays correctly. I suspect this may be due to the fact that my wordpress directory is /journal/ and my permalink structure is '/journal/category/title'

What would be the best way then to force /journal/ to display correctly? I'm not familar with rewrite rules, however I think it could be solved with one.

    The test site is http://amory.awardspace.com/journal/index.php

    Thanks,
    Amory

What are the contents of the current .htaccess file in the journal directory?

Also, on the options->permalink page, what is your permalink structure set to, *exactly*?

off the top of my head..

    RewriteRule ^journal/?$ /journal/index.php [QSA,L]

    may or may not work..

I'm not familar with rewrite rules, however...
