    hi guys,
I'm really new to wordpress and I installed a free SEO plugin... it ended up putting these spam links on my site. I've deleted the plugin but the links are still there! I have no clue how to get rid of the links. it's really not cool!
Check out what I mean at [ linked removed due to malware ] - the link is right at the bottom of the page in the left corner. "webcamgirlshd"
The only plugins I have installed now are Akismet, Hello Dolly, Pinterest RSS Widget & WP-Paginate.
can anyone help? it will take me forever to do a new install to start over! :(
    Thanks! :)

Was the SEO Plugin downloaded from the plugins directory of WordPress.org? If so, are you sure it was the cause of the problem? If so, please name the plugin so this can be investigated.

Your site appears to be infected with Malware.

Yes, I did download it from wordpress.org.
I installed 2 SEO plugins but I'm not sure which one it is that's the issue.
SEO Ultimate & WordPress SEO by Yoast
The links only appeared when I installed these 2 plugins... so I have no reason to think it was caused by anything else. I did do some research and some other people have also had problems with seo plugins downloaded from wordpress.org.

Thanks for replying. Ugh, now to fix it. Thinking about going back to Joomla now! :(

Yoast is a good guy. I am 100% certain that he would never put malware into his plugin.

I don't know anything about SEO Ultimate or its author, but I'm not seeing any indication that it has been reported as doing anything dodgy http://wordpress.org/tags/seo-ultimate

Can you please provide links to where other people with these problems with SEO plugins have discussed/reported it? if there is a possibility that plugin code on WordPress.org has been interfered with, aggregating this information will help the issue to be addressed.

Not sure why you mentioned Joomla - you're free to use whatever you want to.
