   Hi guys,

   I put in the username and password into the config file and when I go to /wp-admin/install.php to set everything up I get this message

   Error establishing a database connection

   This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host's database server is down.

   Help!

   Assuming you have your user anme and password in the wp-config file correctly you may actually need to change the location of the database from localhost to something else.

   Your ISP should be able to help you with this - it may be in you profile information.

   Some Hosts require you to create the database first which is little more than giving a unique name. Contact them for details since this is what happened to me my first shot at installing.
