In the newest version, the 'height' setting doesn't work.
It will set it to 100px height. I think javascript loads the setting wrong.

You seem to have 'Shrink slideshow's height when width shrinks' set to 'Yes', which causes the height to be proportional to the width. In your case in a 4:1 ratio.

Setting it to 'No' should solve the problem.

Do you have any kind of caching plugin? Because the setting visible on the page indicates that the 'Shrink slideshow's height when width shrinks' is set to 'Yes', altough you say the admin page says otherwise.

A cache plugin stores the page to be able to load it faster. The W3 Total Cache plugin is an example of this. Clearing the caching plugin's cache often works.

I was using the slideshow as my main page attraction. After updating a few minutes ago it is unusable! The size is horribly small. Can I change this somehow?

    Thanks!
