Has anyone used wordpress and had 100's of users hit it per hour? I have a basic blog set up for distributing some videos, and it's pretty popular.
I've noticed that this might be the cause of my apache going haywire, but I'm not sure. It never happened before, but maybe more people are hitting my site than normal.
But basically, I'm wondering if maybe there's some optimization I could do for apache or mysql maybe... but what happens seems to be apache will spin off and generate many processes it cannot kill, tying up my server.
Any ideas would be very greateful

My Tech Blog get's anywhere from 100-200 hits an hour and I notice no slow downs or anything on it. It also depends on who your hosting providor is, my site's are hosting on GoDaddy and they do a pretty good job of load balancing.
