Support » Fixing WordPress » Headers showing up, but no post content

  • I’ve recently revisited a blog which I maintain as an archive site now, http://unsg.org only to discover that none of the post content is available. I can login and see the content in Posts, but I cannot get it to display either on the homepage or the individual Post.

I have updated the Permalinks settings, switched themes and confirmed all the active plugins are updated. As you can see, I’m maintaining the old Kubrick theme since that was what it was created in in 2006. The version of WordPress is 2.7, which worked fine a few months ago when I last visited the site. I can update it if I can be assured that the theme will still be available.

For now though, I believe something else must be interfering with the post content displays. Any suggestions would be immensely appreciated!!

  • Yeah, as I said in your other thread, the solution is going to be to update everything 🙁 .

Yes, but unless I can maintain the Kubrick theme (and neither 10-11 or 10-20 look anything like it), that’s not an option.

You should be able to update both the site and your old Kubrick theme. I worked on a site only last month that was using a customised (and updated) version of Kubrick and it was running just fine.

Thanks, Esmi. Would you mind posting a link to that site?

    Tony,

Make a backup of the site and follow the mods advice. This way if anything happens you are covered and are not pinned in a corner.

Please bear in mind that I did not carry out the original theme customisation. I just added some new tweaks that the site owner wanted.
