Headers, Pictures and Backgrounds Not Showing Up (2 posts)

I'm using WordPress currently on my laptop accessing it through localhost. I've uploaded several files as headers, backgrounds, and pictures but they don't show up. I did some searching and tried some changes. I noticed that there weren't proper permissions set for /var/www/wp-uploads/localhost and /usr/share/wordpress/wp-content. I set the permissions through the terminal and gained access to the folders. This didn't help with the files showing. In the media settings I set the path to the /var/www/wp-uploads/localhost but that didn't help. I'm not sure what to try next and I'm getting frustrated. If I don't get it figured out soon I'll lose interest and give up.

    Any ideas?

so when you develop a site locally on your machine, you can import and export data from the local wp install to your live wp install.

you will have to upload all of the images again and then set up wordpress like you have it in your local machine. meaning you have to go to settings, reading and set the static home and blog pages if you did that on the local copy. then you should be able to copy the image link from the media uploader and past it into the page or post you created.
