Header.php self deleting daily (6 posts)

So I've just been running into this problem the last week or so. I am running the twenty twelve theme, but I've overhauled the code with my own personal code and styles just relying on the twenty twelve styles to back up my own code. Something that has been happening though is that my header.php file (which is all custom code) somehow keeps deleting itself on a daily basis. when it does that then it screws everything else up...I've looked all over and can't seem to find anything similar to this problem so any insight would be extremely helpful!!!

    Here's my blog: http://grapicflow.net/blog
This is what the design should relatively resemble: http://graphicflow.net

I've also looked to see if it could have been hacked, but no code has been inserted as far as I can tell....

For starters, do not edit the Twenty Twelve theme. It is will be the default theme in WordPress 3.5 and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues. First create a child theme for your changes.

I've already created a child theme and had everything working, went in today and Boom....header-blog.php is deleted from the child theme's folder....

I've also updated to WordPress 3.5, and did a fresh install of the twenty twelve theme....

    Hello Revion,

I have run into the exact same problem and the only information I could find about it is your thread here. Did you ever manage to fix it?

Well, I forgot what I did exactly but I did go back and made a child theme to a T. That didn't fix it but eventually it stopped doing it. I honestly have no idea where or how or why this was happening. The changes I had in place vs creating a child theme were exactly the same so I don't see how something like this would happen. Sorry that I'm not much help. Let me know if there's anything else I might be able to help with/ponder.
