    Hi,

    I have addedd an image into the header to try to show what I am trying to acheive here - http://www.liebermanfencing.co.uk

    I need the font to match the rest of the website and to be laid out exactly as in the image but with less padding, any ideas?

    Hopefully someone can help, its bugging me.

    Thanks

    James

    Not quite sure what you are asking -- are you trying to duplicate what the image looks like -- but in regular code? If so, you'd first need to find the same or similar font, and then likely customize the header.php file of your theme. Be sure to create a child theme before making any changes.

    Or if you want to use the image, you can adjust the spacing/position using CSS.

    Yes, or remove the padding from the image and the search bar....

    would this be easier?

    thanks

    Yes, much. Look like that theme has custom CSS set up, so you can try adding this there:

    #site-title img {
       margin-left: 25px;
    }

    #header {
        background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #000000;
    }

    #header #searchform {
        display: none;
    }

    Download this plugin and add it in the space provided (by the plugin) in the dashboard.

    The header is pretty big, wanted to remove all spacing around the image if i can.

    Now I see you have black around it -- that looks quite good. Do you like it? If you want to make that go above it, add a top margin to the header div:

    #header {
        background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #000000;
        margin-top: 55px;
    }

    Now it has a white margin above and 3 black sides? not really keen on the black, i'd like the margins to be smaller and the same white as the background.

    Thanks guys.

    Okay, change the above to this:

    #header {
        background: none repeat scroll 0 0 white;
    }

    make sure you remove the margin from the above.

    and add this also:

    #site-title, #site-description {
        line-height: 0;
    }

    Hrm. That shouldn't have happened. Do you recall what it is you've changed file-wise?

    Your website works for me too.
    Instead of typing your website URL in, try the link on your first post, of this forum thread.

    Okay, change the above to this:
    #header {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 white;
    }
    make sure you remove the margin from the above.

    and add this also:
    #site-title, #site-description {
    line-height: 0;
    }

    Ok, so today I have access, I have made the 1st change which resolved the issue of the black and then I completed the 2nd change which has brought back the black margins....

    The header CSS code is not visible in the custom CSS -- so double check that it is there.

    Actually, try adding this:

    #header {
    background-color: #ffffff !important;
    }
