    Hi,

    I did start with this theme Virtue and still figuring it all out.
    Let me start with my first question πŸ˜‰
    I have tried to find the reason why my header is not showing the whole if the page, like in your examples. I have tried several images but it all shows the same.
    Maybe there is already a topic about it, but the search did not show it.

    http://www.thecolourbubble.com ( still messy..just starting πŸ™‚ )

    Thanks

    Ellen Jacover

    I right away have another question.
    Without using a gallery..is it possible to have pictures next to each other on a page?? So far , it shows in my admin. the pictures next to each other, but on the page it self, they are all on the left side , one by one vertical.

    Also..Is it possible to change the background colour in a gallery?? No it shows black( a bit transparent) I would prefer white

    Thank you very much

    Hey,
    I don’t know what you mean by the “header not showing the whole if the page”

    As for the lightbox background you can add this css to your custom css box in the theme options > advanced settings:

    .mfp-bg {
    background: #fff;
    }

    Thank you.

    When I see your examples of the website, the header is al the way from left to right, no white at the edges. So I think that is possible?
    At my website i have white at the sides…oh..maybe I should put that on transparent…?

    No, that is not it

    I think I found it….The free version has the smaller header..I just looked at the demo and there it looks the same as with me.
    I think this makes the decision of getting the payed version a little easier πŸ˜‰

    Ellenja, I’ve been wanting to do this too and have been getting the white lines at the side of the page.

    I did manage to bodge a work-around though –

    This is my site I’m working on – http://hand.handmadecrafthouse.co.uk/

    The “header” graphic is actually an image that I’ve placed as a background to the “header background” section on the “advanced styling area”. I had to make the image have an extra 34px or so of blank space at the top so it would fit right with the topbar.

    Once that was done I adjusted the padding around the page title (or logo) until it was the right depth.

    I’m sure there’s a better way of doing this but, for now, this fits my purpose well enough. However, I am interested to hear if there is a better way of doing this – Kadence Themes, it would be great if we could have a navigation menu sit beneath a header image! That would make an incredible theme even better!

    Hope this helps in some way Ellenja!

    Thanks for you answer and help. Your side looks good! I only do not get it….your header is a slider..?
    And since you are here…you have a carousel under the header….I have no idea how to do this…
    I did get a carousle working..but how to get it on the homepage…?
    Is this also a project-page??

    Hi Ellenja, glad it helped a little. Thanks very much, the site’s still at a very experimental stage at the moment!

    To answer your other questions…

    The top slider thing is just the front page slider that I made to stretch the width of the page. You can change those settings in the slider part of the theme options.

    The carousel underneath is a Portfolio slider – you’ll need to have at least 4 Portfolio items and I gave these all the same category type so they’d appear in the same slider. Again, you can make all sorts of changes in the portfolio settings in the theme options.

    If you go to the “Home Layout” tab in the theme options you’ll see a section called “Home Layout Manager” with some grey rectangles in it. Just drag the “Portfolio Carousel” box to the “Enabled” area to get the portfolio carousel on your page.

    As far as I’m aware, my home page is not a portfolio page – just made with the settings described above.

    LOL – yes, all my links currently go to google – as I said, I’m still testing at the moment, and google.com is a lot easier and quicker to type than most of the actual links I’ll be using!

    Anyway, hope this shed a bit more light on this for you. πŸ™‚
