Header seems to be pulling up mistakes (10 posts)

    Would anyone be able to let me know if my header has mistakes in? the w3 validator is pulling up errors but they are of characters such as'/' and '<'

    The W3C validator exposes the line number and error type for you.
    Here's an explanation for all errors

    You shouldn't need forum volunteers to additionally point this out.

    The theme is pointing out errors like '>' and '/', as im not fully confident in wordpress it's why I asked in the forum for advice or help.

    Could anyone recommend?

    At the risk of sounding rude: I would suggest you look into using a different theme or possibly hiring somebody.
    What really scares me is seeing the unclosed tags and an h9 and h11 tags thrown into the mix.
    Unfortunately, what it looks like is that the rest of the files may have errors as well and not just the header. :(
