Header Image and CSS Help

Just added a new logo and now having some issues with the header.

1. How do I move the logo up to match the twitter logo in the header? (they are the same height)

— I added this to my .css and no luck

2. When I added the logo, the navigation box in the header added a blank box. How do I remove this or will it remove it self once the logo is css and aligned correctly?

3. I added the logo to the header.php, I noticed it only shows up on the home page and not other pages. How do I get the logo to show up on all the pages?

4. What is the proper way to make the logo link to the home page? When the logo is linked to to the home page it adds a big line through the middle of the template. (I had to remove this, so no example online)
