    At http://www.thecollegefootballreview.com, my header is just saying “Just another wordpress weblog. I believe I have done what was necessary to point to my jpg, but for some reason it’s not showing up. I am using the blix redux v1 theme, and i made the changes in the shadesofgray.css….anyways, if anyone knows what is happening, let me know. Thanks

  • Had a look at your css for what the header image is, and this does not appear to exist:

    i think so – thanks.

    Hi,

    I would appreciate any help with my WordPress header problem:

    It seems that for me dealing with the header graphic has been one of my biggest challenges…sad, but true.

    My header graphic is 750px wide by 150px tall/high and created in photoshop.

    My questions:

    1) Why does my header graphic (.gif) appear crisp when loaded directly into the semiologic themes folder:
    /public_html/education/wp-content/themes/contentdesk-2-col-right. (it appears crisp but has margin problems that I have not been able to correct) but appear somewhat fuzzy (although margin problem is gone) when I remove the image from the themes folder and call it up using a “url” from Presentation|Theme Editor|canvas.css:

    #header
    {
    background: url(http://www.mylearningpathway.com/images/header3.jpg) no-repeat bottom center;height: 150px;}

    {
    padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
    margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
    }

    If there was a problem with photoshop I would think that the image would not appear crisp in either case, yet it is crisp when loaded directly to the themes folder…calling the image from the url seems to alter the clarity of the image.

    2) For .gif images I can place the image directly in the themes folder and it shows up with a margin issue or I can call it up, as above, using a “url” (no margin problem) and it appears “fuzzy”. For the .jpg image I can place it directly in the themes folder and it shows up nicely (w/margin problem) but when called up from a “url” it doesn’t appear at all (so I don’t know if it appears fuzzy). Why doesn’t the .jpg image appear when called up? The image is uploaded and in the proper folder.

    Kind Regards,
    Ken
