    I have been playing with the twentyfourteen theme. I ran in to a problem using buddypress. The problem is when i open a per-baked page like actives the header disappears. The css rule:

    .masthead-fixed .site-header {
    position: fixed;
    top: 32px;
    }

    this css rule “top” drops to 0px. I change the css rule in my child theme for twentyfourteen to:

    .masthead-fixed .site-header {
    top: 32px !important;
    }

    that fixed the problem. I don’t know if this is a buddypress or a wordpress problem.

    Happy blogging, Chris

    Hi Chris,
    We can look at this in Twenty Fourteen after 3.8 ships — how did BuddyPress look with Twenty Fourteen other than the fixed header?

    I think fixing this in your child theme (for now) is a good idea.

    I loaded a new install of BuddyPress trunk with Twenty Fourteen and 3.8 RC2, and the fixed header worked OK for me, testing in Firefox 25.x on Mac OS X with a BuddyPress URL like /activity/.

    Lance,
    I looks fantastic I really like the theme. I am also running bp 1.9. I also had a problem with the header disappearing with WPML when you go to a translation page. the latest version of WPML doesn't work with the new WordPress at all. the boys over at WPML have a lot of work to do.
    I have no idea by me this rule go's from 32px to 0px. it seem to me is is only on per-baked plug-in pages.
    I don't think i am missing anything because i ftp the zip file of wordpress to the server and did everything on the server...strange.

    Thanks for taking a look, Chris

    It looks like a BuddyPress issue. You can also try the patch from http://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/4929
