   http://ex-animo777.net its derived from this theme http://themes.wordpress.net/columns/2-columns/583/windtalker-theme-10/ I tried to put in a new header but it came out like that. Is there a file I need to edit that I don't know about before I can change the header img?

   I don't understand: It appears you already did change the header image...

   I did but it didn't turn out the way I intended. Heres the original image http://ex-animo777.net/wp-content/themes/windtalker/head.gif

   So it looks ok except for the bottom corners showing?

   yeah if you look at it now it cuts off the top part of my image. is there some parameters that I need to set or something?

   Sounds like two things: 1) You need to edit the image and make the corners transparent (for this to work you'll have to change image format to .gif or .png, i.e.; indexed color). 2) Change the header img dimensions to the new size of the image.
