   I've uploaded some new header images to the server using filezilla and some of them work just fine. others, of exactly the same size, don't work -- just return a white space on my home page when i rotate through the images. now, why would some photos work and others not? is it codin? is it the size of the photo file? or? also, what is the exact size of the full width photo for a header? i'm using 800x200 for now, but that doesn't cover the whole width obviously. thank you for any help!

   Check the file names:

   no spaces, no weird characters, ending on .jpg, .gif, .png

   Wondering also how I determine the exact width for a full horizontal photo? Is it 1200 px or 1180 or? Is there a way to know? Thanks in advance.

   There are no hard and fast rules for that. See recommendations at A. Theme Options -> Header Image
