Header image fuzzy (3 posts)

I had friend/graphic designer create my header image, dimensions 900x175. The first time she did it as high resolution (300dpi) and of course the image didn't fit into the header. Then she changed it to 72dpi and while it fits perfectly size-wise, now it is fuzzy.

This is my first blog, trying to figure as much out on my own as I can before I announce it.

Is it correct to be a .jpg at 72dpi? Or would it be sharper if it was a another extension/file type besides .jpg?

    Thanks.

she may just need to adjust the quality setting before save... it should always be 72dpi for web... the only reason it would be pixelated like that would be if she had the quality slider set on low or medium if working in photoshop

Hi, if you can send me the link to the 300dpi image I can reduce file size, keep image sharp, AND make it the dimensions you want.
