I am trying to edit my wp theme to look the way i want, currently the background image is sliding up and behind the header, is there a way to stop the image from going that high?
Also I've removed the headers background color because i will be putting a page background to go behind the layout i currently have.

This is what it looks like

This is just a guess without looking at actual markup, but I think you just have a CSS style on the wrong element, or one too many.

If you are not too familiar with using browser inspectors, I highly suggest at least one, you can debug something like this almost instantly.
