You’ll have to modify the theme for this change. Are you using a Child Theme?

    Do you have a walkthough?
What do you mean about child theme?

A Child Theme is a separate directory outside of your theme, that inherits functionality of your theme. A Child Theme is used when adding modifications to themes, by providing an environment whereby changes made will not erase whence the theme updates.

Well in that case i don’t use child theme, but i take backups before changing any files.
Where can i set the hight and width of the header so theres no space around the image?

And thanks for helping so far 🙂

I also am curious how to avoid space around the header image!
    stenfeldt, you’re not alone 🙂

I’m also wondering the same. I can’t find any piece of code in the hearder.php that could refer to a searchform. If I delete the code in the searchform.php though, the searchbox in the header is gone, but also the searchbox in the sidebar.

After a bit of messing around with the style.css I managed to make my header look like I wanted. This is what I did.

    on line 633 #site-title: margin on 0 and 0%

Then make sure you upload a header image that is larger than the size of the header, so it will resize. Mine is 1145px wide and will always show in the complete width of the header.

I also removed the searchform.php code and replaced it by a plugin to only show in the sidebar.

I hope this is of any use

If you’re curious on how to implement this change without compromising your changes (and the theme you’re editing), consider posting your own thread on the issue.

    Hi Off-Limits.

Could you send a link to your site so i can see how yours look like?
I’m still messing around with mine…

    Thanks!

    Hi Stenfeldt
    This is my site: http://www.off-limits.eu/
The header looks fine in Chrome, but for some reason not in the other browsers, I’m still trying to figure that out.

    Cheers

    I managed to get it done… 🙂
I found a guide at the developers site…
Tell me og you want the link.

    Hi Stenfeldt,

Your site looks great! I am having the same issue with my header as you had. How did you get your image to take up the entire header space? I have been stumped for hours and would GREATLY appreciate your advice! Thanks!
