Hello I have 2.0 wordpress running on my site kinkipodcast.com with the 'connections' theme installed

I hit presentation then theme editor to change my headerlink buttons for example I took this

    <li><a href="#" title="Show Archives">ShowList </a></li>
deleted and turned it into this

    <li><a href="http://www.kinkipodcast.com/contact/">contact |</a></li>
so the home and forums (installed by my host work)
but the other buttons when clicked either show

    Not Found

The requested URL /contact/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Apache/1.3.33 Server at http://www.kinkipodcast.com Port 80

    or they show this

with no change in the page

I don't know where how to create these links and make them work. Is there a simple way to do this? I am a neophyte, but I can use dreamweaver and upload download a little

thank you sorry for the long post but I wanted to get it all out and see if I can get this working!

    1. Don't use DW to edit WP php files. (unless you use it exclusively in code view, no wysiwyg).
    2. Is there anything called "contact" on your server? If not, then you will get the 404 error message.
    3. You have to make those "empty" links to point to real, existing pages, files, sections... whatever you want to be linked.

    thank you
    1. o.k. no dreamweaver is there a free editor I can use with apple that you can suggest?

    2. No nothing called 'contact'

    3. Should I try and make them conect to the old spots only changing the name

    i.e. old said li><a href="#" title="Show Archives">ShowList </a>

I changed it to Show Archives and I changed it to Showlist
but I don't remember what it was before

So do I make a new files i.e. contact folder with my contact code and files or make just on for all header links and forget about php on that part ...getting tired...

I am afraid you have to do some basic studies in html basics. If you have a link, it has to point toward something existing. (and the # is a placeholder for future links).
    Start here: http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp
    and see this lesson: http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_links.asp

As for your "contact" question: you can use the Contact_Form plugin (search or Plugins) and create a Page by following its instructions, then make your link pointing toward that Page...
and so on with every link there - create something you want to appear there, then make the link to point to it.
