Hello,
I haven't updated my WordPress blog until now. When I access a category, http://www.domainname.com/category/, I get redirected to an error page.
In my permalink options, I am using the following custom permalink: /%category%/%postname%/
For the category base, I am using: .
Is there anyway to get it so I can access a category by going to http://www.domainname.com/category/?
Leave the category base field blank and re-save your permalink structure. If WordPress cannot automatically edit the .htaccess file, it will provide manual instructions after saving.
That did the trick. Thank you so much!

I am having trouble with the permalinks to the pages on my wordpress site. I have checked all the usual setup stuff and everything seems to correspond but when you click on the page it just stays white and says done.
When i test the pages when i am logged in to administrator everything is fine, but as soon as I log out and test I get the blank page with "Done" at the bottm. It appears the isssue is only when I'm logged out of the admin page.
