   Hi all,
   I have been working on importing my blogsome blog into wordpress. The import function in the dashboard worked wonderfully for the posts using my rss feed, but when I tried to import the rss feed for my comments they just showed up as posts as well. Can anyone assist me in having them import as comments associated with the proper post.

   I found this link but cannot open the file

   You cannot import comments via an RSS feed.

   That post you linked to gives a special importer that will let you do it, try using that importer instead. If you can't uncompress a .tar.gz file, then Google for "7Zip" and download and install that. It can do it, and it's free.
