    The contents on some of my posts are cut in half, it is best to see it to see what I mean;

    I contacted the forum from where I received the theme and they said to update the theme and that would fix the problem, however when I updated it the problem remained.

    This is what they said may be the problem;

    "It sounds like your server is set up so that the permissions for the wp-content folder can not be overwritten. IE, when you try and install the theme updates the permissions says 'no you can not write over these files'. You should contact your hosting provider and ask them to change the wp-content folder so that you can write to files/write over them from wordpress."

    So I contacted my hosting provider and they said;

    "Themes are stored in the /wp-content/themes directory. You have the ability to overwrite those files using ftp."

    I don't use an ftp I upload straight onto wordpress.

    "Then you have to work within WordPress' setup. If there's a feature that allows you to do this from the Dashboard, you would need to locate the steps using it in the wordpress.org support forums."

    So here I am! Any ideas what I should do next?

    so what is the exact problem?

    if you are not able to install the latest version of the theme, you might need to get used to using ftp;

    if it is a theme problem, keep asking the theme's seller for support.

    Well the problem is that my content is being pushed off the page, in trying to find out why, I found out it may be that the theme isn't updating properly. I am not sure what steps exactly I should try next.

    I used Filezilla to upload the latest version of the theme, however, the problem remains.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks so much

    1. Unzip the theme on your local computer
    2. use filezilla to connect to your web server
    3. navigate to wp-content>themes>flashlight
    4. rename the theme to flashlight.old
    5. upload the flashlight folder from local computer to webs server.
    6. wait and check your website again
