Support » Plugin: MailPoet Newsletters (Previous) » Having a ACF custom field shown instead of excerpt in the newsletter

I’ve modified so much my blog where I hope to have contributors to add their posts on a daily base.
I’ve removed the visual editor and added tens of custom fields using ACF, one of these acts as the main text for the post.
When I try to send out my newsletter I just get the featured image and the link to the post…
Is there a way to add and use the code I use on the post page to show the custom field instead of the excerpt?
If yes, in which file can I found the code I would try to replace with my custom field?
    Thanks!

  • Andrea, that would require hacking, which we don’t officially support. You’ll need to get tech help elsewhere, unfortunately for you. 🙁

ACF is indeed very popular, we know, since we use it ourselves. In the future, we hope to introduce the possibility to add custom fields in the newsletter, to solve your issue and those who use a lot of custom post types.
