Twenty Twelve
[resolved] Have posts appear under a different menu (3 posts)

    On my menu in the Twenty Twelve theme, I have home, recipes and about (http://alwaysaredhead.com). Currently all posts are published under home. If I want a post under recipes, I had to create the recipe page and then put my pasta recipe on it. The post appears but as a page and people cannot comment.

    What I would like to happen, is when I write a new post, I would like the choice of it appearing on the home page, or under the recipe heading. If I choose the recipe menu, I would like the post to behave the same way it does on the home page - meaning if you click the title of it, you are brought to a new page, where the post is displayed with comments and people can comment. Plus, I would like to be able to keep adding posts the the recipe page.

    Thus, how to a put new posts under the menu 'recipes'?

    when you are customizing one of the default themes like Twenty Twelve, strongly consider to create a child theme to work with; http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

    you could create a page template: http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#Creating_Your_Own_Page_Templates

    and use a query to filter posts by category;

    you can find an example in my recent post.
