When write a story in the text area, I want to add a link to another site. EXAMPLE: ..[url=http://www.skate2stick.com/stats/stats031107.txt]Stats as of March 11, 2007[/url] So the links is active, but the active part only the test I have added. I tried using the link in the write section and it just makes it active. Any help would be so appreciated.

you can either write Stats as of March 11, 2007 then highlight the text and click the link button then insert the link in that screen

or code it yourself but use html not bbcode

It's best to turn off the wysiwyg editor. In the basic editor, just click the "link" tab and add the url and hit the tab again.
If you do use the wysiwyg, be sure and switch to the "code" tab.
If you enter it manually, use real html:
    <a href="http://www.skate2stick.com/stats/stats031107.txt">Stats as of March 11, 2007</a>
