    Hey, thanks so much for your help. I'm using the Cazuela theme and have a navigation tabs across the top that when hovered over display a dropdown menu of those categories subcategories. My site is vegasbellhop.com and under the 'strip hotel deals' tab, the list of subcategories in the dropdown is too long so I would like to have it drop down into two columns instead of one. I'm sure there is a way to edit the css file to do this, but I know very little about css, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks so much,
    Dan

    try something like:

    li#menu-item-913:hover ul { width: 300px; }
    li#menu-item-913:hover ul li { width: 45%; float:left; }

    Thanks so much Alchymyth!

    I'm very much a beginner when it comes to css, so sorry for this question, but where exactly should I place that in my css file?

    Thanks a lot for your help!
    Dan

    it might possibly be the best if you install a custom css plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=custom+css to add any changes; use for example the custom css section of the 'jetpack' plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jetpack/

    this way, the formatting changes will be preserved when you update your theme.

    or alternatively add the changes at the very end of style.css of your theme
