• Hello,

I am responsible for overseeing development on our non-profit organization’s website, http://standingupfornhfamilies.org/.

I want to change something on our website, but I’m not sure how to go about doing that. I want to have the Media > Press Releases link show all posts categorized as “Press Release”, and the Media > News Articles link to show all posts categorized as News Articles. It would function in the same way that the front page shows all posts categorized as “News”.

Currently, the pages at the top are all static pages and I have to update them manually. I really want to just say “New Post”, categorize it appropriately, and then have it appear under that menu item/page.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Separate from that, I want to have menu aliases. For example, the About page and the About > Standing Up for NH Families pages are the same content because I just duplicated the page and put the duplicate under the About menu item. Obviously there has to be a better way to do this (one page, multiple menu items).

I’ve used Joomla and Drupal before, but this is my first time using WordPress. I’ve been very impressed with the software so far, after having had time to dive into it.

    Thanks!

Ok so I figured out the menu aliases: I can use the “Page Links To” plugin for that.

Not sure if there is a better one… any recommendations?

Still have to work on the category stuff but I could conceivably do something similar.
