hashcash causing RSS to fail (4 posts)

    Hi all,

    I just installed hashcash and have discoverd that for some reason it is causing all my RSS feeds to fail validation. It seems that when the plugin is active it is adding a single blank line to the begining of my rss feeds. I get this error when I try to validate the feeds:
    line 2, column 0: XML Parsing error: <unknown>:2:0: xml declaration not at start of external entity [help]
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

    The only problem seesm to be the extra white space, the single blank line at the begining of the XML. The plugin author has been unable to reproduce this, can anyone help? Thanks.

    Karl

  2. Try downloading the HashCash files again, and make sure that it's v2.2.

    yes, I have the most recent version. The same problem also happens with a the wp-morph plugin which is based on the hashcash plugin.

  4. Is there a blank line at the top of your HashCash plugin? I subscribe to the RSS feeds of quite a few blogs that user HashCash v2.2 and I have noticed no problems with their feeds.
