• I recently had my server moved by streamline.net and since then I have been unable to upload any images without getting the message below.

408930620_yRimITgX_c.jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/fhlinux138/s/shadders.net/user/htdocs/wp-content/uploads/2011/11.

I have read so many forums unable to sort the issue out myself, I have emailed my hosting company http://www.streamline.net and they are telling me there is nothing they can do to help me. I cant seem to do anything on my blog until this uploading issue is resolved. I am the least knowledgeable person to get into the Ftp to correct anything. Can anyone intellectual help me with a step by step approach as I am about to give up, my web designer also tells me he has no clue about it and also cannot help me either. I am at my wits here

    thanks

  • Check your permissions on upload folder

    thank you will do that

Yes, I have the same problem
tried changing file permissions to wp-content
    ” ” ” to uploads
have changed uploads to uploadsold and created a new uploads and copied contents from old
obviously tried a different computer, disabling all plugins, updateing wp to newsest version, changed the month/date format that wp saves stuff.

Pretty stuck and it seems like a sticky problem that there is no one single answer to.

If i get a solution I’ll post it here for you.
